Clusters of turquoise nuggets are strung together to form this beautiful necklace. The stones are made of Kingman and Sleeping Beauty turquoise.

The Kingman Mine is located in Mohave County in western Arizona. The matrix of most Kingman turquoise has produced some of the most stunning and unique nuggets of turquoise in the entire Southwest.

Because of this and the color, Kingman is one of the more expensive turquoise, and the most popular among top-shelf artists.

Sleeping Beauty turquoise comes from a mine near Globe, Arizona, and comes in a solid, light blue color with no matrix. It's easy to cut and consistent in color, making it a favorite in Native American jewelry.

The Sleeping Beauty Mine is one of the largest in North America.

In Native American jewelry, turquoise is a stone that symbolizes protection, success and heath.
