Frontier Children

Enriched by more than 200 vintage photographs, Frontier Children is a visual and Literary montage of the faces and scenes of childhood in the nineteenth-century American West.  Drawing from a wide range of sources, Linda Peavy and Ursula Smith have brought together stories and images that erase stereotypes to reveal the infinite variety of childhood experiences on the western frontier.
